This throw is knit from polyester in a solid color with a fringed edge, giving it a rustic farmhouse look rather than the flat, printed pattern found on lesser throws. The fabric is soft enough to sit against skin directly, and its breathability means it doesn't trap heat the way a heavier fleece blanket does, so it works as a light layer in summer air conditioning as well as a warmer layer in cooler months. It comes in a smaller and a larger size, so it can be sized for a chair, a couch, or a bed. The fringe is arranged by hand rather than left ragged, which keeps the edges from unraveling with regular use and washing. It machine washes on a gentle cold cycle, so it can be kept clean without special care instructions getting in the way of everyday use.
