What makes a flush mount work
- Profile: Check the depth from ceiling to the bottom of the fixture in the dimensions tab. Slim LED models can be very shallow, which helps where beams, ducts or a low ceiling leave little room.
- Brightness for the space: Hallways need gentle, even light, while kitchens and laundry rooms need more. Compare the wattage or brightness options before you choose.
- Color modes: Several fixtures offer three color settings, so you can switch between warm, neutral and cool without buying a second light.
- Spacing in corridors: In long hallways, plan a fixture roughly every 8 feet or so, so no stretch falls dark.
Placement tip: In a walk in closet, a flush mount with a motion sensor turns on as you step inside and switches off after you leave, so the light is there when your hands are full.
