Made from 100 percent cotton in a gauze weave, this blanket is built for breathability first, which makes it a better fit for warm weather or someone who tends to overheat under heavier blankets. The open gauze structure lets air move through the fabric while still holding a soft, striped surface against the skin. It comes in four sizes, so the same design can serve as a throw, a couch blanket, or a full bed cover. Cotton also tends to soften with each wash instead of pilling the way synthetic gauze can, so the blanket actually improves with regular use. It solves the problem of wanting a blanket that adds coziness without the trapped heat of a thicker fleece or wool throw.
