When they say mini they really do mean mini, folks! A cute little thing, fits in the palm of my hand. After turning it on at the base, it needs quite a firm tap to turn on/off when in use beyond that, as in you seem to need to make a noise, like tap it with your nail or rap the base onto the surface it is standing on. Odd. Not something you want to be doing next to your partner at night, really. But it works! Produces an extremely mellow light, like candle light, very warm and sweet. Would make a really good night light for kids as it turns itself off automatically after a while. My only criticism is it uses a bespoke charging cable which is not a commonly found one, it is a standard usb at one end but looks rather like an old game charger from the 80s at the other, so you will have to keep track of that to recharge it, which is a shame.

Thank you for the fun and honest review of the mini sunset lamp, including the quirky tap to turn it on. We are so glad it still gives off such a mellow, candle like glow. We hope it makes a great little night light for years to come.
