The auto on at night, auto off at day function on this column light means it needs no switch or timer set by hand, it simply reacts to ambient light levels. Three selectable color options let it match warm, neutral, or cool lighting depending on the rest of the outdoor space. Its IP65 rating keeps it sealed against rain and dust, which matters for a light meant to stand outside permanently. The column shape gives it a more architectural look than a simple stake light. Light and power
- A solar panel and rechargeable battery are built in, so there is no wiring, no outlet and no batteries to buy.
- Charge it in full sun for a day before the first night.
- It switches on at dusk and off at dawn on its own, and steps between three color temperatures so it can be set warm for a garden or cooler for a driveway.
- Wipe the panel clean every few months, since dust costs more charge than cloud does.
Good to know
- Fix it to the top of a gate pier, a wall, a fence post or a pillar cap somewhere that gets several hours of direct sun, since the panel sits on top of the unit and cannot be moved.
- Measure the pillar before ordering so the light sits proud of it rather than overhanging.
- It is sealed against rain.

Fragile pieces are packed individually with extra protection. Crystal, glass and stone take an extra day of handling so they travel safely.

Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
