Common Questions

Answered by the Nora Furnish team

About this piece

Which length should I choose?

Match it to the wall. Shorter lengths of 24 or 40 inches suit the side of a door, while 78 or 94 inch bars can run along a garage or a long facade. Every length is 1.97 inches wide.

Can it change color?

Only the RGB version changes color. The other versions are white, warm white, dimmable, or a 3 step version that moves between 3000K, 4500K and 6000K.

How is it powered?

It is hardwired to your home's supply, and all the mounting hardware and instructions are included. An electrician should make the connection with the power switched off at the breaker.

Is installation difficult? Do I need an electrician?

How it is powered depends on the version you choose in the options above, so read them carefully before ordering.

Can one person install this or do I need a helper?

Most people can fit it on their own, though a second pair of hands helps while you hold it in place. How it is powered depends on the version you choose in the options above, so read them carefully before ordering.

What material is the shade/frame made from?

Material details are listed in the Specifications section on this page. Most of our shades are metal, glass, or fabric depending on the style. If you need specific composition details, email info@norafurnish.com and we will confirm.

Does this ship with free shipping?

Yes, most products ship free within the continental US. Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders may have shipping costs calculated at checkout.

Shipping details are under Shipping & Returns on this page.

Does it come with mounting hardware and instructions?

Yes, it ships with the mounting hardware it needs and an instruction sheet.

Are the colors/finishes accurate to the photos?

Yes, we photograph our fixtures in accurate, natural lighting. The finish color in the photos is a close representation of what you will receive. Monitor calibration can vary, but the vast majority of customers are happy with the match. Our 30 day return policy gives you peace of mind.

10 questions

QWhich length should I choose?

NORA FURNISH

Match it to the wall. Shorter lengths of 24 or 40 inches suit the side of a door, while 78 or 94 inch bars can run along a garage or a long facade. Every length is 1.97 inches wide.

QCan it change color?

NORA FURNISH

Only the RGB version changes color. The other versions are white, warm white, dimmable, or a 3 step version that moves between 3000K, 4500K and 6000K.

QHow is it powered?

NORA FURNISH

It is hardwired to your home's supply, and all the mounting hardware and instructions are included. An electrician should make the connection with the power switched off at the breaker.

QWhat lengths does it come in?

NORA FURNISH

It comes in 24, 40, 48, 60, 67, 78 and 94 inch lengths. All of them are 1.97 inches wide, and the exact measurements for each option are listed in the Dimensions section of this page.

QCan I mount it vertically and horizontally?

NORA FURNISH

The slim bar suits both layouts. Vertical bars frame a door, and horizontal bars run along a garage or a long wall. Plan the position with your electrician before installing, since it is hardwired.

QWhat does the 3 step version do?

NORA FURNISH

The 3 step version moves between three color temperatures, 3000K, 4500K and 6000K, so you can choose a warmer or cooler light without buying a different fixture.

QWhat color temperature is the warm white version?

NORA FURNISH

Warm white runs from 2700K to 3999K. It suits brick, wood and stone facades and makes an entrance feel welcoming, while the white version at 5000K to 6500K gives a crisp, modern look.

QWhat is it made of?

NORA FURNISH

It is made from iron and metal with a black finish. Slight variation in color and finish between units is normal on this kind of fixture.

QCan I buy matching lights for a long wall?

NORA FURNISH

Yes. It is sold singly or in sets of 2 or 4, so several bars on one facade match exactly. Choose the same length and light color for every bar in the run.

QIs the RGB version good for everyday use?

NORA FURNISH

It can be, but many people keep the RGB version for one feature wall and use warm or white light elsewhere, so the everyday look stays calm and color feels special.

Highly recommend

The photos don't do it justice — it's gorgeous. The glow it gives off is beautiful in the evening. Really well made for the price. Priced really fairly for what you get. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Solid purchase

The dimming works smoothly across the whole range. Transformed our bedroom. Only reason it's not five stars is I wish it came a touch bigger, but that's a me thing. Highly recommend.
