I was surprised that it was so light..
I bought it to decorate with knitted flowers, but it was so light that I filled it with children's clay!

Everything you need to know
About the Babylon Vase
Key Features
- Lightweight plastic, shatter resistant
- Black or khaki finish
- Small and large sizes
- Centerpiece for a dining table
- Suits pampas and dried florals
This vase is made from plastic rather than ceramic or glass, which makes it lighter and less likely to shatter if knocked over during a gathering. Its black finish gives it a bold, graphic look against lighter flowers or greenery placed inside, standing out more than a clear or neutral vase would. Sized and shaped for centerpiece use, it works on a dining table or console rather than as a small accent piece. Being plastic also means it holds up outdoors or in humid spaces where ceramic or glass might be a bigger risk to handle. Its boho styling suits arrangements with dried florals, pampas grass, or other textured stems rather than a formal floral bouquet.

Common Questions
Answered by the Nora Furnish team
About this piece
What is it made of?
Made from durable plastic. Available in Khaki-S L, Black-S L, Black-S, Black-L, Khaki-S, Khaki-L. Slight color variation between the photos and the item you receive is normal.
What comes with it?
One vase is included in the color and size selected above.
How do I look after it?
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. A slightly damp cloth can be used for heavier marks, then dry immediately.
Is the material ceramic, glass, or something else?
Material is specified in the product listing. Each material has its pros: ceramic has a matte artisan look, glass lets you see the stems, and resin is lightweight and shatter-resistant.
Is this vase waterproof / can I put real flowers in it?
Yes, it's watertight and safe for fresh or faux flowers. For real stems, we recommend using floral foam or marbles at the bottom for stability, and changing the water every few days.
Can this go outdoors?
This vase is designed for indoor use. Outdoor conditions, UV exposure, temperature swings, moisture, can fade finishes and affect durability over time. For patio décor we'd suggest our weather-resistant planters.
What are the dimensions?
Dimensions are listed in the product specifications, height, opening diameter, and base diameter. If you need them and don't see them, feel free to message us and we'll double-check.
Shipping, returns and help
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?
Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Can I order it in another size or finish?
Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.

What's included and how to set it up
In the box
- One vase is included in the color and size selected above.
Setup
- It ships ready to use with no assembly.
Good to know
- The small size is 5.5 inches tall and 3.34 inches across.
- It works with fresh stems, dried grasses or artificial arrangements.
- Because it is molded plastic rather than ceramic or glass, it is light and will not shatter if it is knocked, which makes it a safer choice for a table used by children or on a covered patio.
- That lightness also means a tall, heavy arrangement can tip it, so weight the base with pebbles or water if you are filling it high.
- Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and keep it out of prolonged direct sun, which fades plastic over time.
- Flowers, decorative accessories and items shown in product photos are not included with purchase.

Mixed feelings
Does what it should, nothing fancy. The glaze/finish is stunning in person. Not as premium as I hoped but perfectly usable.

Mounted it wrong and it fell
I skipped the wall anchors on my plaster wall and it came down. My mistake entirely — it seemed solid before that.
NORA FURNISH
Hi Maria, I'm sorry about the experience with the elegant black plastic vase boho chic. Glad to hear it feels solid otherwise. I've emailed you directly to check if anything was damaged and sort out replacement parts if needed. Sarah, Nora Furnish
