Common Questions
Answered by the Nora Furnish team
About this piece
Should I buy one or a pair?
Order the pair if the lamps are going either side of a bed, so both sides match in finish and height. A single lamp suits a reading chair, a desk corner or one side of a smaller bed.
Is a bulb included?
No, the bulb is not included, so buy one to suit the light you want. The listing also offers a warm white 3000K or cool white 6000K light option, so choose the one that fits the room.
How far does it stick out?
Folded back, it projects 3.9 inches from the wall on a 5.1 inch wall plate. The arm swings out over a book when you read, so leave clear wall for it to move through.
Shipping, returns and help
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?
Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
Can I order it in another size or finish?
Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.
How do I reach you?

Customer Reviews
QShould I buy one or a pair?
NORA FURNISH
Order the pair if the lamps are going either side of a bed, so both sides match in finish and height. A single lamp suits a reading chair, a desk corner or one side of a smaller bed.
QIs a bulb included?
NORA FURNISH
No, the bulb is not included, so buy one to suit the light you want. The listing also offers a warm white 3000K or cool white 6000K light option, so choose the one that fits the room.
QHow far does it stick out?
NORA FURNISH
Folded back, it projects 3.9 inches from the wall on a 5.1 inch wall plate. The arm swings out over a book when you read, so leave clear wall for it to move through.
QHow big is the shade?
NORA FURNISH
The tapered fabric shade is 5.9 inches across the bottom, 3.9 inches across the top and 6.3 inches tall. The whole lamp stands 22.4 inches tall on a 5.1 inch wall plate.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
It has a fabric shade on a painted metal swing arm. The fabric keeps the light soft and diffused, while the metal arm gives it a sturdy industrial look.
QIs the mounting hardware included?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. The pack you select ships with all the mounting hardware and instructions, whether you order one lamp or a pair, in black or gold.
QWhich light option suits a bedroom?
NORA FURNISH
Warm white at 3000K gives the cozy glow most people want at bedtime. Cool white at 6000K is crisper and brighter, which suits a desk or a workroom better.
QWill it disturb the person next to me?
NORA FURNISH
The fabric shade keeps the light soft, and the arm puts it over your book rather than across the bed, so it is gentle enough to read by while someone else sleeps.
QHow high should I mount it?
NORA FURNISH
Sit up in bed with a book and have someone hold the lamp against the wall. Mark the spot where the shade reaches the page and clears your head, and use the same height for a pair.
QWill it hit my headboard?
NORA FURNISH
Mount it where the shade will not hit a headboard or a shelf at full extension. With a tall or upholstered headboard, measure first and set the lamp a little higher.
