Common Questions
Answered by the Nora Furnish team
About this piece
How does the phone charging work?
The base holds a wireless charging pad. Lay a phone that supports wireless charging on the base, centered, and it charges without a cable plugged into it. Keeping it centered helps the charging stay connected.
What happens when I flip the panel?
The sand inside the sealed glass panel falls and settles into a new landscape each time you turn it over. It is a slow, quiet thing to watch, which makes it a calming piece on a nightstand.
What is the difference between blue and blue sand?
Both are listed as separate color options, as are yellow and yellow sand. The photos show the looks available. If you are unsure which suits your room, email info@norafurnish.com before ordering and the team will help.
What happens if it does not work in my room, can i return it?
Yes, you can return it. You have 30 days to send it back, and the refund is issued once the carrier scans the return.
Does it work without connecting to a phone?
Yes, it works fine on its own. The panel on top gives a quiet, moving sand landscape to watch even without a phone charging on the base below.
Shipping, returns and help
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?
Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
Can I order it in another size or finish?
Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.
How do I reach you?
Email info@norafurnish.com. The team works Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST), and replies within 1 to 2 business days.

Customer Reviews
QHow does the phone charging work?
NORA FURNISH
The base holds a wireless charging pad. Lay a phone that supports wireless charging on the base, centered, and it charges without a cable plugged into it. Keeping it centered helps the charging stay connected.
QWhat happens when I flip the panel?
NORA FURNISH
The sand inside the sealed glass panel falls and settles into a new landscape each time you turn it over. It is a slow, quiet thing to watch, which makes it a calming piece on a nightstand.
QWhat is the difference between blue and blue sand?
NORA FURNISH

QWill it charge my phone?
NORA FURNISH
The base holds a wireless charging pad, so a phone that supports wireless charging will charge when it is laid on the base. Keep the phone centered so the charging stays connected. Phones are not included.
QHow big is the lamp?
NORA FURNISH
It measures 9.1 inches wide by 9.4 inches high. That nearly square shape fits comfortably on most nightstands and desks while leaving the sand landscape large enough to enjoy from across the bed.
QDoes the sand ever stop moving?
NORA FURNISH
The sand settles into a still landscape once it has fallen. To watch it move again, turn the panel over and a new scene forms. Keep the panel upright when you are not flipping it.
QWhat light modes does it have?
NORA FURNISH
It has warm light and white light modes. Warm light gives a soft, relaxing glow behind the sand for winding down, and white light is brighter and crisper when you want more light in the room.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
It has an ABS frame around a sealed glass sand panel. The panel is sealed, so the sand stays inside. Avoid knocking the glass, and keep the lamp away from the edge of the table.
QIs it good for a child's room?
NORA FURNISH
Older children and teens tend to love watching the sand move. Because the panel is glass, place it on a stable surface out of reach of small children who might knock it over.
QWhich color should I choose?
NORA FURNISH
The blue options feel cool and calm and suit white and gray rooms. The yellow options feel warm, like desert dunes, and suit wood tones and warm neutrals. The product photos show each option lit.
