Gentle Night Lights and Playful Decor for Little Ones
A child's room needs light that feels friendly, not clinical. Little ones want a glow to fall asleep by, older kids want a spot to read and draw, and parents want enough light for a night feed or a diaper change without switching on the ceiling light and waking everyone. This collection gathers pieces made for those moments: soft silicone night lights shaped like rabbits and axolotls, a tap control mushroom light, galaxy and star projectors, a rechargeable moon lamp and a cloud wall lamp, plus playful wall clocks, cushions and a small floating bookshelf.
What to look for in a child's room
- Low, warm glow: For sleep, the dimmer and warmer the better. Warm white and amber tones are gentler at night than bright blue or cool white.
- Easy controls: A tap control silicone light or a remote lets a child or a sleepy parent change the light without hunting for a switch.
- Cordless where possible: Rechargeable lamps keep cords away from cribs and small hands, and they can move from the nursery to the hallway for a late night trip.
- Placement: Keep lamps and cords out of reach of a crib, and set a projector on a shelf or dresser so it throws stars across the ceiling rather than into a child's eyes.
Decor that grows with them
A teaching wall clock helps children learn to read the time, and a cuckoo bird clock adds a bit of character. A wooden floating bookshelf keeps favorite books within easy reach, and a front opening art frame makes it simple to swap in the newest drawing. Round tatami cushions and a cat paw chair cushion give a soft place to sit, and a woven rattan mushroom basket holds toys at the end of the day.

Common Questions About Kids & Nursery
Warm, dim light is the gentlest choice at bedtime. Soft amber, orange or warm white tones are less stimulating than bright blue or cool white. If a light changes color, pick a warm setting for sleep and save the brighter colors for playtime.
Set it on a shelf, dresser or nightstand a few feet from the bed and aim it at the ceiling, so the stars spread overhead rather than shining into a child's eyes. Keep the projector and its cord out of reach of a crib.
Rechargeable lamps are handy in a nursery because there is no cord to trip over or tug, and you can carry one along for a night feed. Plug in lights are fine too if the outlet is out of reach and the cord is tucked away behind furniture.
