Why This Is Special
The shaded version is the one to choose near a path or a seating area, because the hood keeps the beam off anyone walking past, while the open version throws more light for uplighting a wall. A one piece moulded body has no joints for water to work into, which is the usual failure point on a garden spike. Low voltage makes the cable safer to run through a bed. Tempered glass keeps the lens clear where plastic clouds within a season.
The shaded version measures 4.53 inches wide, 7.13 inches deep and 13.31 inches high and weighs 1.54 lb. The open version measures 4.53 inches wide, 4.17 inches deep and 13.23 inches high and weighs 1.41 lb.
Made from one piece moulded aluminum with a gray finish, a plastic ground base and a transparent tempered glass lens. Slight variation in finish between pieces is normal.
Wipe the glass lens clean with a soft, damp cloth and dry it afterwards. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Keep soil and mulch clear of the head so the housing can shed heat.
What ships depends on the set you select, a single light or a set of two, four, six, eight or ten, in the head style you choose. Read that option carefully: the shaded version has a hood that cuts glare, while the open version does not. Each light comes with its ground spike. This is a low voltage fitting, so a transformer is required and is not included, and the supply should be fitted by an electrician with the power off at the breaker. It is sealed to IP65 against dust and rain. Decorative accessories and items shown in product photos are not included with purchase.
