Common Questions

Answered by the Nora Furnish team

About this piece

How tall is the post?

It is 102.36 inches tall, 20.47 inches wide and 7.87 inches deep. That height lifts the light above head level, so it spreads across a driveway or courtyard rather than lighting only the ground beside it.

2 light or 3 light?

The 2 light style suits a driveway edge or a garden path. The 3 light style spreads light further and has more presence, which suits a courtyard, a turning circle or a wide entrance.

Solar or hardwired?

Solar suits a post far from the house, with no cable to run across the lawn or drive. Hardwired suits a permanent installation where an electrician can bring power to the post.

What is the return policy if I don't like it?

We offer a 30-day return window on most items. The fixture must be unused and in original packaging. Please reach out to us before shipping anything back and we'll provide the return label or instructions.

Is the metal frame sturdy? Does it feel solid?

We hear this a lot and the answer is yes, customers consistently comment on the solid build quality. Our frames are steel or die-cast zinc alloy, which gives them a premium weight and feel without being overly heavy for the ceiling mount.

Can the cord/chain length be adjusted?

It does not hang on a cord, chain or rod, so there is no drop to set.

Can the height be customized for high ceilings?

It does not hang on a cord, chain or rod, so there is no drop to set. The full measurements are in the Specifications section on this page.

Is this light available in a larger or smaller size?

We do offer several size variants for many of our fixtures, check the size selector on the product page! If you don't see the exact dimension you need, send us a message and we can point you to the closest option in our catalog.

What is the maximum wattage for this fixture?

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb wattage to stay under.

Shipping, returns and help

Is shipping free?

Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.

What is your return policy?

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.

What if it arrives damaged or faulty?

We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.

When will I receive my refund?

Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.

Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?

Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.

Do I need an electrician?

Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.

Can I order it in another size or finish?

Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.

How do I reach you?

Email info@norafurnish.com. The team works Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST), and replies within 1 to 2 business days.

10 questions

QHow tall is the post?

NORA FURNISH

Q2 light or 3 light?

NORA FURNISH

The 2 light style suits a driveway edge or a garden path. The 3 light style spreads light further and has more presence, which suits a courtyard, a turning circle or a wide entrance.

QSolar or hardwired?

NORA FURNISH

Solar suits a post far from the house, with no cable to run across the lawn or drive. Hardwired suits a permanent installation where an electrician can bring power to the post.

QWhat are the measurements?

NORA FURNISH

The post is 20.47 inches wide, 7.87 inches deep and 102.36 inches tall. Check that the spot is clear of overhanging trees and overhead cables before ordering.

QWhat is it made of?

NORA FURNISH

It is made from die cast aluminum and glass. Slight variation in color and finish between units is normal on this kind of outdoor fixture, and hardware is included.

QWhat light options are there?

NORA FURNISH

Warm white from 2700K to 3999K, or a dimmable version from 3000K to 6000K. Warm white feels welcoming; the dimmable version lets you soften the light near windows.

QIs it good for a driveway?

NORA FURNISH

Yes. Its height spreads light across the width of a driveway, and several posts along one side create a steady line of light from the road to the house.

QWhat is the difference between 2 light and 3 light?

NORA FURNISH

The 2 light style suits drive edges and paths. The 3 light style spreads light further and has more presence, suited to the center of a courtyard.

QCan it run on solar?

NORA FURNISH

Yes. Choose the solar version for posts far from the house, and place it in an open spot with good daylight so it charges fully.

QHow many can I order?

NORA FURNISH

It is sold singly or in sets of 2, 4, 6 or 8, so a pair at an entrance or a row along a long drive can match exactly.
