Common Questions
Answered by the Nora Furnish team
About this piece
How big is it?
It is a large lantern: 23.6 inches high, 11.8 inches wide and 8.3 inches deep. That size has real presence beside a front door, on a garage wall or on a gate post.
Does it come with a bulb?
No. It takes a standard E27 bulb, which is not included, so you choose the brightness and light color. Pick a bulb rated for outdoor use in an exposed fitting.
Can it go on an exposed wall?
Yes. The aluminum and glass housing is sealed to IP55 against dust and water, so an exposed wall or a gate post is fine. Check the fixings once a year.
Shipping, returns and help
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?
Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
Can I order it in another size or finish?
Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.
How do I reach you?
Email info@norafurnish.com. The team works Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST), and replies within 1 to 2 business days.

QHow big is it?
NORA FURNISH
It is a large lantern: 23.6 inches high, 11.8 inches wide and 8.3 inches deep. That size has real presence beside a front door, on a garage wall or on a gate post.
QDoes it come with a bulb?
NORA FURNISH
No. It takes a standard E27 bulb, which is not included, so you choose the brightness and light color. Pick a bulb rated for outdoor use in an exposed fitting.
QCan it go on an exposed wall?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. The aluminum and glass housing is sealed to IP55 against dust and water, so an exposed wall or a gate post is fine. Check the fixings once a year.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
It is aluminum and glass, finished in black. The housing is sealed to an IP55 rating against dust and water, and colors can vary slightly between screens and production batches.
QWhat bulb does it take?
NORA FURNISH
A standard E27 bulb, which is not included. Choose one rated for outdoor use in an exposed fitting, in the brightness and light color that suit your entrance.
QWhat comes in the box?
NORA FURNISH
One wall light with its mounting plate, a packet of screws and an installation instruction sheet, built to the pack size you select. Sets ship the same fixture in your quantity, each with its own fixings.
QHow is it installed?
NORA FURNISH
It is hardwired, so turn the power off at the breaker and have an electrician make the connection. Mark the holes from the plate, drill and plug the wall, and seat it so the gasket sits flat.
QHow far does it project?
NORA FURNISH
It is 8.3 inches deep, so it stands a good way off the wall. Allow for that beside a narrow path or a door where people pass close with bags.
QIs it too big for a small door?
NORA FURNISH
At 23.6 inches tall it has real presence. On a small cottage door a pair can feel heavy, so hold a card template against the wall first to check the proportions.
QShould I buy a pair?
NORA FURNISH
A pair either side of a front door or a garage is the classic arrangement. Mount both at exactly the same height and fit matching bulbs so they glow the same.
