A wide drum shade spreads light sideways as well as down, which fills a living room more evenly than a narrow cone that leaves the corners dark. At just over four feet it sits below eye level from a sofa so the bulb is never in view. The 15.54 lb base holds it steady against a knocked cable. Warm white keeps a room looking soft in the evening rather than clinical.

Dust the shade with a soft brush or a lint roller rather than a damp cloth. Wipe the base with a soft, dry cloth. Switch the lamp off and unplug it before cleaning.
What ships depends on the set you select, a single lamp or a set of two, four or eight. The LED is built in, so no separate bulb is bought and none is replaced later. It plugs into an ordinary outlet, so no wiring work is needed. The shade is wide, so allow clearance from a wall or curtain when choosing where it stands.
