About the Mezzaluna
Key Features
- Moon surface molded in white resin
- Warm white 3000K LED lights the face
- Solar or hardwired power
- IP65 rated for outdoor use
- Sits flat on porch or garden walls
This outdoor wall light is a half sphere of white resin shaped like the moon, with the craters and plains of the surface molded in relief. A warm white LED inside lights the whole face evenly.
It sits flat on the wall as a sculptural piece for a porch, patio, garden wall or stairway.
Choose hardwired for a wall with a junction box, or solar, which runs from a separate panel joined by a cable so it can go where there is no wiring.

Common Questions
Answered by the Nora Furnish team
About this piece
Which size is right for the wall?
The 5.9" and 7.9" moons suit a small accent beside a door or step. The 11.8" and 15.8" moons make a centerpiece on a larger wall or garden fence.
How does the solar version charge?
It connects by cable to a separate solar panel. Set the panel where it gets direct sun during the day, and there is no house wiring to run.
Is it safe in the rain?
Yes. It is rated IP65 for outdoor use, which protects against rain and dust.
Shipping, returns and help
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?
Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
Can I order it in another size or finish?
Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.

QWhich size is right for the wall?
NORA FURNISH
The 5.9" and 7.9" moons suit a small accent beside a door or step. The 11.8" and 15.8" moons make a centerpiece on a larger wall or garden fence.
QHow does the solar version charge?
NORA FURNISH
It connects by cable to a separate solar panel. Set the panel where it gets direct sun during the day, and there is no house wiring to run.
QIs it safe in the rain?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. It is rated IP65 for outdoor use, which protects against rain and dust.
QWhat sizes are available?
NORA FURNISH
Five diameters: 5.9, 7.9, 9.8, 11.8 and 15.8 inches. They project 3 to 7.9 inches from the wall, since the moon is a half sphere.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
The moon is molded resin in white, with the surface detail cast in. Slight variation in surface detail and tone between units is normal.
QWhat light does it give?
NORA FURNISH
A warm white 3000K LED rated 11W to 15W with a CRI of 85. It lights the whole face of the moon evenly.
QWhy does the surface look so real?
NORA FURNISH
Craters and seas are molded into the resin, so the raised and sunken areas glow at different strengths when the light is on.
QIs it hardwired or solar?
NORA FURNISH
Both are available. The hardwired version runs on 110V to 220V from a junction box, and the solar version runs from a separate panel joined by a cable.
QHow far does it stick out from the wall?
NORA FURNISH
From 3 inches for the 5.9 inch moon to 7.9 inches for the 15.8 inch moon.
QIs one moon enough, or several?
NORA FURNISH
A single large moon makes the strongest statement. Two or three small moons along a stair wall or fence work well as a series.
