Common Questions
Answered by the Nora Furnish team
About this piece
Which width should I choose?
The 7.9 inch size suits a single door, where a compact band of light is enough. The 11.8 inch size covers a double door or a garage, spreading the light wider across the ground.
Will it glare in my eyes?
No. It is a downlight, so it throws its light onto the ground below, and the frosted acrylic diffuser keeps the LED hidden from view as you walk up to the door.
White or warm white?
Warm white gives a soft, welcoming glow that suits brick, timber and traditional porches. White is crisper and brighter, suiting modern exteriors and pale render. Use one throughout the property.
Does it light upward at all?
No, this one is a downlight, so all the light goes toward the ground below it.
Shipping, returns and help
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?
Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
Can I order it in another size or finish?
Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.
How do I reach you?
Email info@norafurnish.com. The team works Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST), and replies within 1 to 2 business days.

Customer Reviews
QWhich width should I choose?
NORA FURNISH
The 7.9 inch size suits a single door, where a compact band of light is enough. The 11.8 inch size covers a double door or a garage, spreading the light wider across the ground.
QWill it glare in my eyes?
NORA FURNISH
No. It is a downlight, so it throws its light onto the ground below, and the frosted acrylic diffuser keeps the LED hidden from view as you walk up to the door.
QWhite or warm white?
NORA FURNISH
Warm white gives a soft, welcoming glow that suits brick, timber and traditional porches. White is crisper and brighter, suiting modern exteriors and pale render. Use one throughout the property.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
It is aluminum with an acrylic diffuser, finished in matte black. Colors can vary slightly between screens and production batches, so allow for a small difference in tone.
QDoes it need a bulb?
NORA FURNISH
No. The LED is integrated, so there are no bulbs to buy and none to replace. The frosted diffuser keeps the source hidden behind a soft, even glow.
QWhat comes in the box?
NORA FURNISH
One wall light with its mounting plate, a packet of screws and an installation instruction sheet, built to your width and light color. Sets ship the same fixture in your quantity, each with its own fixings.
QHow is it installed?
NORA FURNISH
It is hardwired, so turn the power off at the breaker and have an electrician make the connection. Mark the holes from the plate, drill and plug the wall, and seat it so the gasket sits flat.
QHow high should I mount it?
NORA FURNISH
High enough that the band of light reaches the whole step, usually above head height beside or over the door. Keep lights in a row at one height so the bands line up.
QIs it rated for exposed walls?
NORA FURNISH
No weather rating is listed for this fixture, so a covered porch or a wall under an eave is the safest spot. Dry the housing straight away if it gets wet.
QCan I buy a set?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. Both widths are offered singly or in sets of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10, each fixture with its own fixings. Multipack options cannot be changed after the order is placed.
