About this piece
Match the sphere to the top of the post. The 8 and 12 inch sizes suit fence posts and slim pillars, 16 inches suits most gate piers, and the 20 and 24 inch sizes crown wide brick or stone piers.
Solar suits a post with no cable nearby, because it charges from daylight. Hardwired suits a permanent installation near the house, where an electrician can run power to the pier.
Switch it off and let it cool, then wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners on the stone, which can mark the surface.
You will need a flathead and Phillips head screwdriver, wire strippers, and a voltage tester for safety. No special tools required. Everything else (mounting plate, screws, wire nuts) is included in the box.
Material details are listed in the Specifications section on this page. Most of our shades are metal, glass, or fabric depending on the style. If you need specific composition details, email info@norafurnish.com and we will confirm.
It does not hang on a cord, chain or rod, so there is no drop to set. The full measurements are in the Specifications section on this page.
The Hardwired version connects to your household wiring, while the Solar version charges by daylight and needs no wiring. Choose the one you want in the Power Supply option.
Yes, all of our fixtures are rated for standard US 110 to 120V. They are not dual voltage unless the listing specifically states that.
Voltage details are in the Specifications section on this page.
Several of our fixtures come in multiple finish options including matte black, brushed nickel, antique brass, and white. Check the Finish or Color selector on this page to see available options.

Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.

QWhich diameter suits my pier?
NORA FURNISH
Match the sphere to the top of the post. The 8 and 12 inch sizes suit fence posts and slim pillars, 16 inches suits most gate piers, and the 20 and 24 inch sizes crown wide brick or stone piers.
QSolar or hardwired?
NORA FURNISH
Solar suits a post with no cable nearby, because it charges from daylight. Hardwired suits a permanent installation near the house, where an electrician can run power to the pier.
QHow do I clean the stone?
NORA FURNISH
Switch it off and let it cool, then wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners on the stone, which can mark the surface.
QWhat sizes are available?
NORA FURNISH
Five diameters: 7.87, 11.81, 15.75, 19.69 and 23.62 inches, listed as 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 inches in the menu. Each is listed in the Dimensions section of this page.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
It is made from stone. Slight variation in color and finish between units is normal on this kind of fixture, so each moon has its own natural character.
QWhat color is the light?
NORA FURNISH
The LED gives a warm light from 2700K to 3999K. A 3 step version moves between 3000K, 4500K and 6000K, so you can match it to the rest of your outdoor lighting.
QCan I use it without wiring?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. Choose the solar version and it charges from daylight, so there is no cable to run. Place it on a post that gets good light during the day.
QCan it sit on a brick pier?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. Choose a diameter slightly narrower than the top of the pier so it sits comfortably, and use the included mounting hardware and instructions to fix it securely.
QHow many can I buy in one order?
NORA FURNISH
It is sold singly or in sets of 2, 4, 6 or 8, so a pair of gate piers or a whole garden wall can have matching moon lights.
QDoes the hardwired version need an electrician?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. A hardwired pillar light connects to your power supply, so an electrician should run the cable and make the connection with the power off at the breaker.
