Everything you need to know
About the Thicket
Key Features
- 17 heads on branching arms
- Copper over stainless steel
- Reads from the landing and hall below
At 57 lb this needs a proper ceiling fixing rather than a plasterboard anchor, and that weight is what tells you the arms are metal rather than plated plastic. Copper over stainless steel keeps the finish warm without tarnishing the way raw brass does.

Common Questions
Answered by the Nora Furnish team
About this piece
Is it long enough for my stairwell?
It measures 66.93 inches high, nearly six feet, so it suits a double height stairwell or entry. Measure the space from ceiling to the lowest point you want before ordering, since the drop is the key number.
Does it need bulbs?
No. The LED is built in and gives warm white light, so no separate bulb is bought and none is replaced later. That is a real benefit on a fixture hung high above a stair.
How heavy is it?
It weighs 57.32 lb, so it must be fixed to a structural joist or a ceiling anchor rated for the load, not a plasterboard anchor, and installed by an electrician with the power off at the breaker.
Shipping, returns and help
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?
Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
Can I order it in another size or finish?
Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.
How do I reach you?
Email info@norafurnish.com. The team works Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST), and replies within 1 to 2 business days.

Customer Reviews
QIs it long enough for my stairwell?
NORA FURNISH
It measures 66.93 inches high, nearly six feet, so it suits a double height stairwell or entry. Measure the space from ceiling to the lowest point you want before ordering, since the drop is the key number.
QDoes it need bulbs?
NORA FURNISH
No. The LED is built in and gives warm white light, so no separate bulb is bought and none is replaced later. That is a real benefit on a fixture hung high above a stair.
QHow heavy is it?
NORA FURNISH
It weighs 57.32 lb, so it must be fixed to a structural joist or a ceiling anchor rated for the load, not a plasterboard anchor, and installed by an electrician with the power off at the breaker.
QHow big is the chandelier?
NORA FURNISH
It measures 17.72 inches wide, 17.72 inches deep and 66.93 inches high, with a weight of 57.32 lb. It is a tall, slender fixture made for stairwells and tall entries.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
Stainless steel with a copper finish and glass shades. Copper over stainless steel stays warm without tarnishing the way raw brass does, and slight variation in finish between pieces is normal.
QHow many lights does it have?
NORA FURNISH
It has seventeen heads spread across branching arms. The light comes from many points at different heights, which is what fills a double height space.
QWhat color is the light?
NORA FURNISH
The built in LED gives warm white light, which suits wood stairs, cream walls and the copper finish. There are no bulbs to choose, buy or replace.
QWhat kind of ceiling fixing does it need?
NORA FURNISH
At over 57 lb it is heavy, so it must be fixed to a structural joist or a suitable ceiling anchor rated for the load. A plasterboard anchor is not suitable.
QWho should install it?
NORA FURNISH
An electrician, with the power off at the breaker. Because it hangs high above a stair, the installer will also need safe access to the ceiling point.
QWhere does it look best?
NORA FURNISH
In a double height stairwell, a tall entry hall or an open landing, where its length lets it read from both the upper level and the hall below.
