About the Kielder
Key Features
- Resin elephant figures
- Two elephant designs, one a lantern
- Solar, no cable to bury
- On by itself at dusk
- Single figure or sets of up to 10
Resin Animal Garden Lights work as objects in the garden before they work as lights, which is the point of putting them on a lawn rather than a lamp post. They run on solar, so there is no cable to bury and no transformer to add. They charge through the day and switch themselves on at dusk. Built from resin and sealed for permanent outdoor use. Sold singly or in multi packs, so a lawn, border or flower bed can be covered in one order with everything matching.

Common Questions
Answered by the Nora Furnish team
About this piece
What is the difference between the two designs?
The Copper Elephant Solar Light is the larger figure, 5.91 inches wide, 4.72 inches deep and 14.96 inches tall. The Elf elephant lantern is smaller, 3.94 inches wide, 4.33 inches deep and 11.02 inches tall.
Does it need wiring?
No. Each figure runs on solar power, charged by daylight, so there is no cable to bury and no transformer to add. It switches itself on at dusk, so there is nothing to turn on each evening.
What is it made of?
Each elephant is made from resin, which holds the detail of the figure and suits outdoor use. Slight variation in color and finish between units is normal on this kind of fixture.
Shipping, returns and help
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?
Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
Can I order it in another size or finish?
Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.

Customer Reviews
QWhat is the difference between the two designs?
NORA FURNISH
The Copper Elephant Solar Light is the larger figure, 5.91 inches wide, 4.72 inches deep and 14.96 inches tall. The Elf elephant lantern is smaller, 3.94 inches wide, 4.33 inches deep and 11.02 inches tall.
QDoes it need wiring?
NORA FURNISH
No. Each figure runs on solar power, charged by daylight, so there is no cable to bury and no transformer to add. It switches itself on at dusk, so there is nothing to turn on each evening.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
Each elephant is made from resin, which holds the detail of the figure and suits outdoor use. Slight variation in color and finish between units is normal on this kind of fixture.
QHow big is the Copper Elephant Solar Light?
NORA FURNISH
It measures 5.91 inches wide, 4.72 inches deep and 14.96 inches tall. It is the larger of the two designs and makes a clear focal point at the front of a bed or beside a path.
QHow big is the Elf elephant lantern?
NORA FURNISH
It measures 3.94 inches wide, 4.33 inches deep and 11.02 inches tall. It is the smaller design, and it looks lovely beside the larger elephant or tucked among low planting.
QWhen do the figures light up?
NORA FURNISH
They charge through the day from daylight and switch themselves on at dusk. There is no switch or timer, so the elephants simply begin to glow as the evening arrives.
QWhere should I place them for the best charge?
NORA FURNISH
Place them where the solar panel gets direct daylight for much of the day. Avoid heavy shade under trees and dense shrubs, and keep the panel free of dust and leaves.
QCan I mix the two designs?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. Each order or set ships in one design, so order one of each to pair them. A large Copper Elephant beside a small Elf elephant lantern makes a sweet parent and child scene.
QHow do I clean the resin?
NORA FURNISH
Wash the resin with mild soapy water and rinse it clean, then let it dry. Keep the solar panel clear of dust and leaves, and switch the figure off before cleaning it.
QCan they stand on a patio?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. Set them on firm, level ground or paving beside a planter or a door, where the solar panel still gets direct daylight. On a patio they make a friendly welcome for guests.
