Square Post Light sits on a pier, gate post or fence cap, which is where a path light cannot reach. It is available solar powered or hardwired; choose the version above. The solar version charges by daylight, with no cable to bury, and the hardwired version is connected to your power supply by an electrician. Built from stainless steel. Suited to a gate, driveway or fence line.

About this piece
Measure the top of your posts. The light comes 9.84, 11.81 or 15.75 inches square. The smallest suits slim deck and railing posts, while the larger widths suit gate piers and wide brick pillars.
Solar charges by daylight, so there is no cable to run along the deck or to a distant post. Hardwired suits posts close to the house where an electrician can run power for a permanent installation.
The LED gives a warm light between 2700K and 3999K. That warm glow suits wood decks, stone and planting, and makes an outdoor seating area feel relaxed and welcoming at night.
Yes, returns are open for 30 days. The item must be unused and in its original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before shipping anything back and we will walk you through the steps.
Yes, it is made for outdoor use.
Yes, most products ship free within the continental US. Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders may have shipping costs calculated at checkout.
Shipping details are under Shipping & Returns on this page.
The color temperature depends on the bulb you choose, since bulbs are sold separately. For a warm, cozy feel we recommend 2700K to 3000K. For kitchens and workspaces, 3500K to 4000K gives a brighter, more focused light.
Bulb specs are in the Specifications section on this page.
Bulbs are sold separately, so the color temperature is your choice. We recommend 2700K warm white for most living areas.

No, not with compatible LED bulbs and a quality dimmer. Buzzing is almost always caused by mismatched dimmers or older incandescent only dimmer switches. We recommend LED rated dimmers like Lutron Caseta and quality LED bulbs.

Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.

QWhich width fits my deck posts?
NORA FURNISH
Measure the top of your posts. The light comes 9.84, 11.81 or 15.75 inches square. The smallest suits slim deck and railing posts, while the larger widths suit gate piers and wide brick pillars.
QSolar or hardwired?
NORA FURNISH
Solar charges by daylight, so there is no cable to run along the deck or to a distant post. Hardwired suits posts close to the house where an electrician can run power for a permanent installation.
QWhat color is the light?
NORA FURNISH
The LED gives a warm light between 2700K and 3999K. That warm glow suits wood decks, stone and planting, and makes an outdoor seating area feel relaxed and welcoming at night.
QWhat sizes are available?
NORA FURNISH
Three sizes: 9.84, 11.81 and 15.75 inches square, listed as 9.8, 11.8 and 15.7 inches in the menu. All three are 5.91 inches tall, a low profile on top of a post.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
It is made from stainless steel with a black finish. Slight variation in color and finish between units is normal on this kind of outdoor fixture, so a large set may vary slightly.
QHow does the solar version charge?
NORA FURNISH
It charges by daylight through its solar panel and lights up in the evening. Choose posts that get good daylight, and keep the panel clear of dust and leaves so it charges fully.
QCan I use it on deck posts?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. The low, square cap is designed to sit on deck posts, railing posts and gate piers. Choose the width closest to the top of your posts so it sits neatly.
QHow warm is the glow?
NORA FURNISH
The light is warm, between 2700K and 3999K. It flatters wood decking, stone and planting, and makes an outdoor seating area feel relaxed and welcoming in the evening.
QHow many can I order?
NORA FURNISH
It is sold singly or in sets of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 20 or 30, so every post around a deck or along a fence line can have a matching light.
QDoes the hardwired version need an electrician?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. A hardwired post light connects to your power supply, so an electrician should run the cable and make the connection with the power switched off at the breaker.

The finish catches the light beautifully. Heavier and more substantial than I expected, in a good way. Exactly the vibe I wanted for the living room. Took one star off only because setup took a little patience.
