Why This Is Special
Most large chandeliers announce themselves in metal and glass, which is a lot to live under in a room meant for eating and talking. This one is built from painted wooden rods instead, so it reads as light and warm rather than heavy, and it fills a wide ceiling without dominating the table below it. The rods are stacked in layers around an iron ring, so the shape stays open and the light passes through it instead of being trapped in a shade. Four diameters mean the same design works over a small breakfast table or in a room with a tall entryway ceiling.
Made from a U shaped iron frame carrying multi layered wooden rods, finished in white paint. Each rod tip holds an E14 candle style lamp holder. Because the rods are wood, the grain and the depth of the painted finish vary slightly from piece to piece and between batches.
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Keep the painted wood away from moisture and direct sunlight, since both will lift the finish over time. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners on the paint. Switch the power off at the breaker before cleaning around the lamp holders, and let bulbs cool before touching them.
One chandelier is included in the size you select, along with its adjustable hanging chain, the ceiling canopy and the mounting hardware. Bulbs are not included. Every rod tip takes an E14 candle style bulb, and 6W warm white at 3000K is what suits it, since a cool white bulb fights the warm tone of the painted wood. Count the holders on the size you choose so you buy enough bulbs in one go. It wires into a ceiling point rather than plugging in, so turn the power off at the breaker before starting and have an electrician do the connection, particularly on the larger sizes, which are heavy enough to need a fixing rated for the load. The chain is what sets the final height, so hang it, stand back, and adjust before tightening. Over a dining table, hang it so the lowest point sits about 30 to 36 inches above the tabletop.
