Lighting a shop or showroom

• Glow along the shelves: LED strip under a shelf edge brightens products and makes the whole wall feel lit.

Keeping color true

Customers judge fabric, wood and ceramics by eye, so the light you choose changes what they buy. Warm white around 3000K flatters homeware, textiles and wood, while neutral white around 4000K suits clothing, beauty and tech. Keep one color temperature across the whole floor, then use brightness to create focus: a little more light on the feature table and the back wall, a little less in the walkways between them.
