Common Questions

Answered by the Nora Furnish team

About this piece

Which length should I choose?

The 23.6 and 31.5 inch lengths suit narrow hallways, bedsides and small walls. The 39.4 and 47.2 inch lengths suit living rooms and landings, and the 59 inch length spans a long feature wall.

What do the light options mean?

Warm White gives a fixed warm light. 3 Step Dimming switches between 3000K, 4500K and 6000K. Dimmable adjusts from 3000K to 6000K, so you can soften the light in the evening.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is a hardwired fixture, so it connects to your home's wiring. An electrician should install it with the power switched off at the breaker and check the wall position before drilling.

Is this light bright enough for a living room?

The light comes from the built in LED rather than a bulb.

How long is the included hanging cord or chain?

It does not hang on a cord, chain or rod, so there is no drop to set. The full measurements are in the Specifications section on this page.

What is the maximum wattage for this fixture?

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb wattage to stay under.

Do you offer this in a matte black finish?

Several of our fixtures come in multiple finish options including matte black, brushed nickel, antique brass, and white. Check the 'Finish' or 'Color' selector on the product page to see available options.

What are the exact dimensions of this light?

Hi there! The dimensions are listed in the product description under specifications. If you need exact measurements for a custom ceiling cut-out or specific clearance, feel free to message us and we'll pull the spec sheet for you.

Does it come with mounting hardware and instructions?

Yes, it ships with the mounting hardware it needs and an instruction sheet.

Shipping, returns and help

Is shipping free?

Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.

What is your return policy?

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.

What if it arrives damaged or faulty?

We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.

When will I receive my refund?

Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.

Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?

Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.

Do I need an electrician?

Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.

Can I order it in another size or finish?

Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.

How do I reach you?

Email info@norafurnish.com. The team works Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST), and replies within 1 to 2 business days.

10 questions

QWhich length should I choose?

NORA FURNISH

The 23.6 and 31.5 inch lengths suit narrow hallways, bedsides and small walls. The 39.4 and 47.2 inch lengths suit living rooms and landings, and the 59 inch length spans a long feature wall.

QWhat do the light options mean?

NORA FURNISH

Warm White gives a fixed warm light. 3 Step Dimming switches between 3000K, 4500K and 6000K. Dimmable adjusts from 3000K to 6000K, so you can soften the light in the evening.

QDoes it need an electrician?

NORA FURNISH

Yes. It is a hardwired fixture, so it connects to your home's wiring. An electrician should install it with the power switched off at the breaker and check the wall position before drilling.

QWhat lengths are available?

NORA FURNISH

Five sizes, listed as 23.6 by 3.1, 31.5 by 3.9, 39.4 by 5.1, 47.2 by 5.9 and 59 by 7 inches in the size menu, from a short bedside strip to a long feature wall line.

QWhat is it made of?

NORA FURNISH

It is made from aluminum with a black finish. Slight variation in color and finish between units is normal on this kind of fixture, and all required mounting hardware is included.

QWhat is the Warm White option?

NORA FURNISH

Warm White gives a fixed warm light with a listed color temperature of 2700K to 3999K, a cozy tone that suits hallways, bedrooms and living rooms in the evening.

QHow does 3 Step Dimming work?

NORA FURNISH

3 Step Dimming switches between three color temperatures, 3000K, 4500K and 6000K, so the same sconce can give a warm glow, a neutral light or a crisp, bright tone.

QWhat does Dimmable mean here?

NORA FURNISH

The Dimmable option adjusts from 3000K to 6000K, so you can move from a warm, soft glow in the evening to a brighter, cooler light when the room needs it.

QIs it hardwired?

NORA FURNISH

Yes. It connects to your home's wiring, so an electrician should install it with the power switched off at the breaker. There are no cords or plugs showing on the wall.

QHow many can I order?

NORA FURNISH

It is sold singly or in sets of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10, so a pair beside a bed or a long row along a corridor arrives matched in length and finish.
