About the Soleil
Key Features
- Solar powered, no wiring or trenching
- Acrylic bar washes light down the wall
- White or warm white light
- Taller sizes carry bigger batteries
- Mounts on fences and garden walls
There is no wiring, so it goes on a fence or a garden wall where running a cable would mean digging a trench. The acrylic bar washes light down the surface instead of punching a spot at eye level, which is what stops a driveway light from being annoying to walk past. The taller versions carry bigger batteries, so they hold a longer run time.

Materials
- Made from ABS with a white acrylic diffuser.
- Finished in black.
- Slight color variation between the photos and the piece you receive is normal.
Care
- Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
- Keep the solar panel clear of leaves and dust so it keeps charging, and wipe the acrylic so the light stays even along the bar.
Common Questions
Answered by the Nora Furnish team
About this piece
Does it need any wiring?
No. It is solar powered, so it mounts on a fence or a garden wall with just its screws, with no cable to run and no trench to dig. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy.
How long does it run?
It charges in 5 to 6 hours of sun and runs for about 6 hours. Battery capacity ranges from 1000mAh to 4500mAh depending on the height you pick. Keep the panel clear of leaves so it charges well.
Which height should I choose?
The 7.87 inch light suits steps and low walls. The 23.62 and 31.50 inch lights suit fences and driveway walls, and the 39.37 inch light makes a full height accent on a garden or house wall.
Shipping, returns and help
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on every order delivered within the United States, with no minimum purchase.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and in the original packaging. Email info@norafurnish.com before sending anything back.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
We send a replacement at no charge, and the return costs you nothing. Email your order number and a photo of the problem to info@norafurnish.com.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Is there a discount when I buy more than one item?
Yes. Add 2 items to your cart and you save 10%, add 3 or more and you save 15%. It applies automatically, no code needed, and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
Can I order it in another size or finish?
Every size and finish available is listed in the options above. For help finding the closest match in the catalog, email info@norafurnish.com.
How do I reach you?

Customer Reviews
QDoes it need any wiring?
NORA FURNISH
No. It is solar powered, so it mounts on a fence or a garden wall with just its screws, with no cable to run and no trench to dig. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy.
QHow long does it run?
NORA FURNISH
It charges in 5 to 6 hours of sun and runs for about 6 hours. Battery capacity ranges from 1000mAh to 4500mAh depending on the height you pick. Keep the panel clear of leaves so it charges well.
QWhich height should I choose?
NORA FURNISH
The 7.87 inch light suits steps and low walls. The 23.62 and 31.50 inch lights suit fences and driveway walls, and the 39.37 inch light makes a full height accent on a garden or house wall.
QWhat is it made of?
NORA FURNISH
The body is black ABS with a white acrylic diffuser, sealed to IP65 for outdoor use. Slight color variation between the photos and the piece you receive is normal, so allow for a small difference.
QWhat are the sizes?
NORA FURNISH
Four heights are offered: 7.87, 23.62, 31.50 and 39.37 inches. All are 3.54 inches wide and stand 2.48 inches off the wall, so the design stays consistent across sizes.
QDoes the battery differ by height?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. Battery capacity ranges from 1000mAh to 4500mAh depending on the height you pick. The listing gives a run time of about 6 hours after 5 to 6 hours of sun.
QWhere should I mount it?
NORA FURNISH
Choose a fence or wall that gets 5 to 6 hours of direct sun. Shaded spots reduce charging. Space several lights evenly so the lines of light form a clean pattern.
QWhich light color should I pick?
NORA FURNISH
White gives a crisp, modern look that suits contemporary gardens and render. Warm white feels softer and suits brick, timber and cottage planting. Use one color in each area for a tidy look.
QIs it bright enough for a driveway?
NORA FURNISH
It gives a soft wash down the wall rather than a bright flood, which guides the way without glare. For bright light across a whole driveway, add a wired flood light as well.
QIs it good for renters?
NORA FURNISH
Yes. There is no wiring, so it mounts with screws on a fence or wall and can come down again when you move. Only small screw holes need filling afterward.
