The crossed lattice over clear glass gives the lantern a pattern that shows in daylight and again in shadow once the light is on. Offering a solar version means a wall with no cable can still be lit, which is often the hard part of a courtyard or a boundary wall. Sold in sets, so a run of lanterns along a driveway or either side of a gate matches exactly. A standard E27 socket lets you set how bright the entrance feels.

Materials
- Made from aluminum with clear glass panels and lattice detailing.
- Available in a bronze finish.
- Slight variation in color and finish between units is normal on a cast and painted metal fixture.
Care
- Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth and use a soft brush in the lattice.
- Dry the metal fully after cleaning and after rain so water does not sit in the detailing, and keep the solar panel clear so it can charge.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners on the glass.
- Switch the power off at the wall and let the bulbs cool before you clean or change them.

About this piece
How do they install?
The hardwired version connects to an outdoor junction box behind the backplate and runs from a wall switch. The solar version only needs fixing to the wall where the panel can catch daylight.
Hardwired or solar, which should I choose?
Hardwired gives steady output on a wall that already has a cable. Solar suits a courtyard, a fence or a boundary wall with no supply, and switches itself on at dusk.
Do they come with bulbs?
No. Each lantern takes one E27 bulb. A warm white LED keeps the glass glowing softly and suits the vintage detailing.

Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
