Light passes through layers of natural shell rather than a solid shade, so the wall behind it fills with soft, shifting pattern instead of a flat beam. Every disc is selected and strung by hand, which is why no two pieces catch the light in quite the same way. The shells read coastal next to linen and pale wood, but the metal frame keeps it sharp enough for a city bedroom. A standard screw base socket means you can pick the brightness and tone you actually want.

Materials
- Made from iron with hand strung natural capiz shell, also known as mother of pearl.
- Available with a chrome or gold frame, both treated to resist oxidation.
- Shell is a natural material, so slight variation in color, pattern and finish between units is normal.
Care
- Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
- Switch the power off at the wall and let the bulb cool before cleaning.
- Dust the shell discs gently with a dry cloth or a soft brush, never a damp one, and dry the metal frame at once if it gets damp so the plating keeps its shine.

Light and power

- The universal E27 socket takes most decorative LED bulbs, so brightness and tone can be changed by swapping the bulb.

About this piece
How does it install and is it hardwired?
Yes, it is hardwired at 110V to a standard wall box and switched at the wall. The plate and screws are supplied and there is no cord or plug.
Which finish suits which room?
Gold warms up cream, oak and linen for a coastal or wabi sabi room. Chrome is cooler and cleaner, and sits better with gray walls, glass and polished nickel hardware.
What bulb does it take?
A standard E27 screw base bulb, and one warm white 3000K LED is included. Swap in any decorative E27 LED if you want it brighter, dimmer or a different tone.

When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives and is approved, the refund usually shows on your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.

Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
