A bare gate pillar looks unfinished, and this lantern gives it a proper top. The six sided frame, rivets and round finial have the look of an old European estate light without feeling fussy. The tapered, ribbed base is shaped to sit steady on stone or brick pillars. At night the white glass glows softly, so the entrance is easy to find without floodlight glare.

No. It takes one E27 base bulb, sold separately.

Yes. It is rated IP55 against dust and low pressure water, which covers normal rain.

Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
