This wall hanging is shaped like a hot air balloon and hand woven from natural rattan, so each piece has slightly different weave tension and texture. The open basketwork lets light pass through it, which casts a soft shadow pattern on the wall behind it during the day. Rattan is lightweight, so it hangs flat against the wall without pulling on its mounting point. The balloon shape gives it a playful silhouette that works well in a nursery, reading corner, or gallery wall mixed with other woven pieces.
