The shade is bent and ribbed, which takes real skill to make and is what gives the light its striped, softened pattern. A gooseneck arm carries the shade well clear of the wall, so it lights a stair tread or a corridor properly instead of just glowing behind itself. Gold against black keeps the look warm without turning fussy. The screw base socket means you can set the brightness with the bulb you choose.

Materials
- Made from metal with a bent ribbed glass shade.
- Finished in gold with a black arm and backplate.
- Each shade is shaped individually, so slight variation in color, ribbing and finish between units is normal.
Care
- Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
- Switch the power off at the wall and let the bulb cool before cleaning.
- Use no abrasive cleaners on the ribbed glass, and dry the gold collar at once if it gets damp so the plating keeps its shine.

About this piece
How does it install?
It is hardwired at 110V onto a standard wall box behind the backplate and switched at the wall. The mounting hardware is included and there is no plug.
Where does the deep arm help?
It reaches 6.7 inches off the wall, so the light lands out in the room. That suits a stairwell, a corridor, a headboard wall or a row above a run of tables.
What bulb does it take and is one included?
It takes a standard E27 screw base bulb and ships with a 5W warm white 3000K LED. Any E27 bulb can replace it if you want a different tone or more output.

Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
