Set at a 3000K color temperature, this post light puts out a warm white glow rather than the colder blue white tone some solar lights default to, which reads as more inviting along a garden path or entrance. Its IP65 rating seals it against rain and irrigation spray for permanent outdoor placement. The column pillar shape gives it a more substantial, architectural look compared to a simple stake light stuck in the ground. Light and power
- A solar panel and rechargeable battery are built in, so there is no wiring, no outlet and no batteries to buy.
- Charge it in full sun for a full day before the first evening.
- It switches on at dusk and off at dawn on its own, giving a warm 3000K light rather than a cold one, which is what makes it read as a house light rather than a security light.
- Wipe the panel clean every few months, since dust cuts the charge more than cloudy weather does.
Setup
- Measure the pillar or post top before ordering, since the light should sit square on it rather than overhang the edges.
- Fix it down with the supplied hardware somewhere that gets several hours of direct sun, as the panel sits on top of the unit.

Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures such as chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and wall sconces connect to your home wiring, so we recommend a licensed electrician for those. Plug in, battery, solar and rechargeable lights need no wiring.
