What to Look for in a Vanity Mirror

• Magnification: A standard 1X view shows your whole face. Around 3X to 5X suits everyday makeup, while 7X to 10X is for lashes, brows and contacts and works best as a second mirror because it shows only a small area.
• Light color: Mirrors with warm, neutral and cool settings let you check your look in the kind of light you will actually be seen in, from the office to a dinner out.
