It stands 10.6 inches tall with a shade 9.1 inches across, built on a ceramic base with a fabric shade, so slight color variations can occur between batches. Bulb not included, and bulb requirements depend on your region, so check the socket when it arrives before buying one. There is nothing to assemble beyond seating the shade. It is sized for a nightstand rather than a console, so it sits beside a bed without crowding a book, a glass and a phone off the surface. The fabric shade softens the light, which is what makes it usable at the end of the day rather than glaring. Dust the shade with a soft dry brush and wipe the ceramic base with a soft dry cloth.
