This wall lamp uses a simple black frame that reads as an accent piece rather than just a light source, so it works as much for the way it looks off as the way it looks on. It mounts flush to the wall and adds light at eye level in a hallway, stairwell, or living room without eating into floor space. The black finish holds up against fingerprints and shows less wear over time than lighter finishes near frequently touched switches. It runs cool and uses little power, so it can stay lit through the evening without a real cost. For a wall that currently has nothing on it, this adds both light and a fixture worth looking at.

The styles differ a great deal in reach, from an 8.7 inch arm at 10.2 inches high, through a 15 inch arm at 14.2 inches high, up to a 38.6 inch arm with a 13.2 inch drop, so check the option against the space before ordering. The LED light source is built in, so no bulb is needed or included.
This is a hardwired fixture, so it connects to the wiring in your wall rather than plugging in. Turn the power off at the breaker, fix the plate to the wall, connect the wires and seat the body onto the plate. The long arm versions are meant to reach out over a bed, a sofa or a dining table from a side wall, so measure the projection against the furniture below before you commit to a mounting point. Choose warm light at 3000K for a bedroom or natural light at 4000K for a work area. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth once it is cool.
