Woven from bamboo by hand, this hanging lamp diffuses light through the natural gaps in the weave, casting a dappled pattern on the ceiling and walls instead of a flat wash of light. The three available sizes, 7.1", 7.5", and 11.8", let it work as a small accent over a side table or a larger centerpiece over a dining area. Its natural material and construction give it texture that mass produced plastic or metal shades cannot replicate. Because it is handwoven, no two pieces are perfectly identical, which suits people who want something that does not look factory uniform. It brings a warm, organic look to a room that leans on natural materials.

Includes the woven bamboo shade, the ceiling canopy in the finish selected above and the mounting hardware needed to fit it. The dome and tiered lantern styles measure 11.8 inches across and the oval measures 7.5 inches. Bulbs are not included.
This is a hardwired pendant, so it connects to the wiring in your ceiling rather than plugging in. Turn the power off at the breaker, fix the canopy to the ceiling box, connect the wires and hang the shade. The cord length can be shortened at the canopy before you finish, so set the drop before tightening everything: over a dining table the shade usually sits about 30 to 36 inches above the surface. Because the shade is woven by hand, the weave pattern varies slightly from piece to piece, and it throws a patterned shadow onto the ceiling when it is lit. Use a bulb within the fixture's stated rating and dust the shade with a dry brush. Bulbs, decorative accessories and items shown in product photos are not included with purchase.
