Its Nordic styling keeps the shade simple, usually a plain geometric shell, so it does not distract from the stairwell itself. Because it mounts flush to the wall, it stays clear of the walking path where a pendant would hang too low. The same design works spaced along a living room wall as ambient lighting rather than task lighting. Includes the light bar with its mounting plate and screws, in the length and color temperature selected above, either 31.5 or 39.4 inches long. The LED light source is built in, so no bulb is needed or included. Choose warm white, cool white or the three color version before ordering, since the color is set by the option rather than by changing a bulb.
This is a hardwired fixture, so it connects to the wiring in your wall rather than plugging in. Turn the power off at the breaker, fix the plate to the wall, connect the wires and seat the body onto the plate. Mounted on a stairwell wall it lights the treads without a ceiling fitting, and several fixed at the same angle up a staircase read as a designed run rather than as separate lights. It also works horizontally above a sofa or along a corridor. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth once it is cool. Decorative accessories and items shown in product photos are not included with purchase.
