Why This Is Special

This floodlight pairs a solar panel with a motion sensor, so it charges during the day and only lights up when someone actually walks into range at night. Running on solar power removes the need to run a wire out to a shed, fence line, or detached garage. Waterproofing lets it stay outside through rain without a housing failure. Because the sensor keeps it off by default, the battery holds its charge longer than a floodlight left running continuously. It suits a backyard, side yard, or driveway spot where wiring in a fixture would be impractical.

What's Included & How to Use

You receive one or two lights depending on the option selected above, each with its own solar panel on a separate cable and the mounting screws. Each head measures 6.1 inches wide and 4.33 inches tall, and each panel is 5.51 by 3.15 inches. Choose 172 or 400 LEDs. A rechargeable battery is built in, so no wiring, outlet or replacement batteries are needed.

Fix the light where you want the beam and mount the panel separately somewhere that gets several hours of direct sun; the cable between them is what lets the light sit under an eave while the panel stays in the open. Charge it in full sun for a day before the first night. The motion sensor keeps it dark until something moves, then lights at full output, which is how the battery lasts until morning. It is built for outdoor use in rain, but wipe the panel clean every few months since dust cuts the charge more than weather does. Decorative accessories and items shown in product photos are not included with purchase.

They look okay. The light is strong but it's interesting to see how the quality holds up during use. Other solar panels in this type of lamp (not in these) had a white coating on the solar panel after a year. It's interesting to see what will happen with these lamps.

The white haze you have seen on other panels usually comes from years of sun and weather, and a gentle wipe with a soft damp cloth every few months can help keep these panels clear. We hope these lamps prove the exception and keep charging strongly for years.

Effective lighting and detection. Easy to implement. Be careful not to place the solar panel in the lighting field, as this will cause a flashing effect.
