It burns lamp oil rather than a wick candle, which means it can be refilled instead of thrown away once it runs low. One lamp is included in the color you select, clear, green or yellow. It is 3.1 inches across and 5.9 inches tall, made from high borosilicate glass that takes the heat of an open flame without cracking the way ordinary glass does with repeated use. It burns lamp oil rather than a wick candle, so it is refilled instead of replaced. Each one is hand blown, so slight variation between pieces is normal.
Fill it with lamp oil and let the wick draw for a few minutes before lighting it, and never top it up while it is lit. The tall chamber shields the flame from wind, so it stays lit on a patio table as well as indoors during a power outage. Keep it on a level surface away from anything that can catch, and let the glass cool before you move or clean it.
