The head rotates a full turn on the stem, so the light can be aimed at a book, a wall or a corner without moving the lamp. A 9.4 inch base is compact for a lamp standing over five feet, which suits a tight gap between a sofa and a wall. The two tone finish puts gold where it is seen and black where it is not, so it reads warm without looking brassy. It takes a standard bulb, so the light can be changed to suit later.
