Why This Is Special
A sputnik that spreads sideways instead of into a ball is the version that actually works over a long table or a kitchen island, where a round fixture leaves both ends dark. The 8 arm version is nearly seven feet across, so it covers the full length of a table in one piece rather than needing two pendants and a decision about spacing. It is also shallow, under 10 inches tall, so the width does not come at the cost of headroom. Three rods are supplied and stack, so the height is set on site rather than fixed by the box.

Three hanging rods are supplied, 3.93 in, 7.9 in and 11.8 in. They can be used alone or combined, so the drop is set at installation.
Made from metal arms on a central bar, finished in copper tone or black, with exposed lamp holders at the arm tips. The depth of the plated finish may vary slightly between batches.
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe along each arm rather than across the fixture, since a cloth pulled sideways can push a thin arm out of alignment. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners on the plated finish. Switch the power off at the breaker before cleaning, and let bulbs cool before touching them.
One chandelier is included in the arm count and finish you select, along with the ceiling plate, three hanging rods of 3.93 in, 7.9 in and 11.8 in, and the mounting hardware. Bulbs are not included. The holders are exposed, so the bulb is part of the look: a clear filament style bulb suits it, and a frosted one will soften it. Buy six or eight to match the arm count. Combine the supplied rods to set the drop, using one alone for a low ceiling or all three for a tall room. It is hardwired to a ceiling point rather than plugged in, so turn the power off at the breaker before starting and have an electrician make the connection. Measure the table first: at 82.7 inches the 8 arm version needs a table of at least seven feet to look right. Decorative accessories and items shown in product photos are not included with purchase.
