One downlight is included in the finish you select, walnut or natural wood. It measures 4.7 inches across and 3.9 inches tall. It is a surface mounted downlight, so it sits on the face of the ceiling rather than being recessed into it and no hole needs to be cut.

It connects to the household wiring in the ceiling rather than plugging in, so turn off the breaker before you start and confirm there is a junction box at that point; an electrician will need to run wiring if there is none. Because it throws light in a narrow cone straight down it is meant to pick out a specific spot, a counter, a piece of art or a doorway, rather than fill a room, so plan on more than one if you are lighting a whole space. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and keep it out of a damp bathroom. Decorative accessories and items shown in product photos are not included with purchase.
