Why This Is Special
Layering the crystal in tiers rather than hanging it in one curtain is what keeps this from looking like a hotel lobby fixture. Light passes between the layers instead of stopping at the first one, so the whole depth of it lights up rather than just the outside. It is dimmable, which matters more over a dining table than anywhere else in a house, because the same room has to work for homework at six and for company at nine. Two widths cover a normal table and a long one.
Made from a metal frame carrying layered cut crystal. Because the crystal is cut and hung by hand, the fall of individual pieces and their clarity vary slightly from fixture to fixture.
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Work one tier at a time from the bottom up, supporting each layer rather than pushing it aside, since the pieces are strung. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners on the crystal or the frame. Switch the power off at the breaker before cleaning, and let the fixture cool first.
One chandelier is included in the width you select, along with the ceiling plate, 50 in of hanging wire and the mounting hardware. The fixture is dimmable, which means a compatible dimmer switch is needed on the circuit, so check what is already on the wall before it goes up rather than after. It is hardwired to a ceiling point rather than plugged in, so turn the power off at the breaker before starting and have an electrician make the connection. Choose the width against the table rather than the room, since the fixture should be narrower than the table beneath it. Set the wire length before tightening, and leave about 30 to 36 inches between the tabletop and the lowest crystal so nobody at the table is looking through it.
