At nearly five and a half feet this stands tall enough to light over the back of a sofa rather than beside it, which is where a reading lamp actually needs to be. The choice between an ash and a clear shade changes it completely, with the ash softening the light and the clear one letting the bulb show. At 22 lb the base is heavy enough that it does not tip when the shade is nudged. Sets of up to eight suit anyone furnishing several rooms at once.

Wipe the base and stem with a soft, dry cloth. Dust the shade rather than washing it. Switch the lamp off and unplug it before cleaning or changing the bulb.
What ships depends on the set you select, a single lamp or a set of two, four, six or eight, in the shade you choose. Each lamp comes with its base and stem sections, which screw together in a few minutes without tools. The weighted base is what keeps it stable, so do not remove it to save height. It plugs into an ordinary outlet, so no wiring work is needed. Bulbs are not included, so buy one at the same time. Decorative accessories and items shown in product photos are not included with purchase.
