An arc of metal that lifts away from the wall and spills light from both ends of the curve. The gap between fixture and wall is what creates the halo, so the mounting position matters more than the bulb. Black with gold, white with gold and full gold cover most existing fittings. It works as a bedside light where a direct beam would wake the person beside you.
