Outdoor Wall Lighting

This is our core collection of decorative wall fixtures, the pieces chosen as much for how they look at noon as for how they glow at night. Choosing for Your Architecture

• Follow the lines of the house: Long horizontal bars suit low ranch and contemporary homes; tall vertical rectangles suit narrow entries and two story facades.
• Material and texture: Die cast aluminum and stainless steel are common choices for coastal and wet climates, while stone look and concrete finishes add texture to plain siding.
• Light pattern: Some fixtures glow through a panel, some cast a beam up and down, and scenery designs paint a silhouette on the wall. Decide which effect fits each spot.
• Weather exposure: A wall facing prevailing wind and rain takes more water than a sheltered porch, so check the IP rating before you choose.

Placement tip: On a long blank wall beside the garage, space two or three matching fixtures evenly at the same height. Repetition turns a dull stretch of siding into a deliberate design feature.
