One lantern is included in the design you select, along with the shepherd hook. Push the hook into soft ground where the panel gets direct sun for most of the day, since shade from a hedge, a fence or the house is the usual reason a solar light runs for only an hour or two. Water hard ground first so the hook goes in straight and stands upright. It charges through the day and comes on by itself at dusk. Charge it in full sun for a full day before the first night, then wipe the panel every few months, as dust on the panel cuts the run time more than people expect.
