The aluminum body and acrylic diffuser spread the LED into a soft, even wash instead of a hot spot, which is exactly what you want in a hallway or entryway where you walk through quickly and just need clean light. Pick a smaller shape in black or white when you want it to disappear into the ceiling, or step up to a larger shape and the higher 30W when you need to cover a longer corridor or a darker stairwell. The three color temperatures let you set it warm for a balcony, neutral for an entryway, or cool for a busy stairway.

This is a hardwired fixture, so it connects to the wiring in your ceiling rather than plugging in. Turn the power off at the breaker, fix the plate to the ceiling box, connect the wires and seat the body onto the plate. It mounts on the surface rather than recessing into the ceiling, so no hole needs cutting and it suits a concrete ceiling or a room where there is no void above. It throws a narrow beam down the wall rather than lighting a room, which is what makes a row of them work along a hallway, an entry or above a run of cabinets. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth once it is cool. Decorative accessories and items shown in product photos are not included with purchase.
