The concealed mounting hardware means no visible brackets interrupt the clean line of the shelf once it is installed. One floating shelf is included in the finish you select, brown, black or white. It is about 15.7 inches wide with a slim profile, made from solid wood, and it mounts with concealed hardware, so no brackets show under the shelf once it is up. Nothing is powered. Because it is solid wood rather than a hollow panel, it takes a real row of books instead of only light decor. Fix it into a stud where you can, since a loaded book shelf pulls hard on a plasterboard fixing, and use plugs rated for the wall and the weight where a stud is not available. Check it is level before the second fixing goes in, and load the books evenly along the length rather than stacking them at one end. Wipe it with a dry cloth and keep it away from damp.
